How to Wear the SILKE Hair Wrap for Your Hair Type

Wondering how to keep your SILKE Hair Wrap on through the night?
Whether your hair is short, straight, curly or coily, here’s how to wear it properly - for a secure fit and healthy results by morning.

The Right Fit = Real Results
Your SILKE Hair Wrap is designed to protect and restore your hair while you sleep - reducing frizz, breakage, and moisture loss, while helping your natural oils travel from root to tip. But getting the best results depends on how you wear it.

Whether your hair is short, long, curly or coily, here’s exactly how to prep your hair and secure your wrap - so it stays put and works its overnight magic.

How to Wear the SILKE Hair Wrap for Your Hair Type

Short Hair

  1. Secure any front framing pieces with a creaseless clip
  2. Slide your wrap on and gently tuck your hair inside
  3. Ensure it sits snugly around your hairline

Mid to Long, Wavy or Straight Hair

  1. Smooth hair into a low bun at the nape of your neck
  2. Leave it loose or tie gently with a SILKE Hair Tie
  3. Glide your wrap over the bun and adjust for a secure fit

Curly Hair

  1. Separate out your front-framing curls
  2. Tie the rest into a high pineapple using a SILKE Hair Tie
  3. Clip front pieces back, then slip your wrap on gently
  4. Tuck in any loose strands

Coily Hair

  1. Gather hair into a high pineapple
  2. Secure loosely with two SILKE Hair Ties - only loop once to avoid tension
  3. Slide on your wrap and gently tuck in any ends
  4. Adjust for comfort and full coverage

Why Your Wrap Might Slip and How to Fix It

The SILKE Hair Wrap is one size fits most (20” to 26” circumference) and designed to suit all hair types and textures, but if you toss and turn at night, it can take a few wears to get the perfect fit.

Top tips to stop it slipping

  • Always tuck all your hair inside the wrap
  • Position the elasticated band so it fully covers your hairline
  • Try wearing it over your ears or just behind - see what feels most secure
  • For extra hold, slide a bobby pin into the back edge of the wrap (not your scalp)

From Maria, Our Founder
"Before you start wearing your SILKE Hair Wrap, your hair may be dry, dehydrated and crying out for care. As the silk helps redistribute natural oils through your lengths, you might still wake up with a few kinks or dents in the beginning - that’s totally normal.

Just run a little warm air through to smooth things out. With consistent wear, you’ll notice fewer frizzy mornings, better shape retention and healthier looking lengths."

Love,
SILKE xo
