Self Care Rituals with SILKE
#SelfCareSunday energy shouldn’t be reserved for just one day...
Sprinkling self care throughout the week is hard when we’re juggling all things ‘life’. So, to make things a little easier we’ve put together our top 5 tips on ‘self caring’ with minimum effort, whilst still achieving maximum results. That’s what we’re all about here at SILKE London after all!
Tip 1: Establish a nightly routine
Psychologically we all need to find a ‘log off’ button; where the trials and tribulations of the day stop, and a nightly wind-down commences. This may be as simple as taking the time to enjoy a herbal tea, a bath, or moving into a different space in your home.
Whatever that is for you, establishing time to ready yourself for bedtime sets you up for a deeper, more restorative sleep. We spend a third of our lives in bed, and one of the most valuable things we can give our bodies is sleep and rest... So make it count.
Tip 2: Skip the morning rush
We’re great believers in minimal effort, but maximum results, so let’s talk about our SILKE London Hair Wrap...all you have to do is pop it on, enjoy your night’s sleep and pop it off again in the morning revealing luscious, ready-to-go hair.
Just think about what else you could be doing with that extra time in the morning. When you aren’t rushing around trying to get your bed-head to play ball, your mornings will feel a lot more tranquil.
Tip 3: Beauty rituals
When we feel good, life is a little bit easier isn’t it? Having a beauty schedule throughout the week will leave you looking, but most importantly, feeling your best. It doesn’t even have to be anything fancy, our favourite trick is popping a hair mask and tieing our hair up in a SILKE London Hair Tie before the gym, or whilst making dinner.
Fun fact: if you get product on your Hair Ties you can always pop them in the washing machine with your delicates!
Tip 4: Screentime
You don’t need to hear it again do you...get off your phone (unless you’re browsing our Instagram of course)! So when you’re at home, why not switch to a non-digital way of passing the time like reading, drawing, or even talking! We know, it seems crazy, but a conversation with a glass of wine or a cup of tea really is quite enjoyable.
Tip 5: Utilise your travel time
Whether it’s a train, tube or car commute, that time is still your time and it’s there for the taking. Why not try out a meditation app? It’s not as scary or deep as it sounds, it’s just a little bit of guidance to get you centred and ready to take on the day whilst the world bustles on around you.
Not quite ready for that? We also enjoy a good podcast. We’re usually listening to something educational to expand our thinking before it’s time to knuckle down at work.
Love,
